An early tank test
Time to see if everything is watertight!.
I made a temporary tank using a tarpaulin and a wood frame. I was amazed at the amount of ballast required to get this model near to its waterline. It's hard to see from these photographs, but there are 7 house bricks at the fore end. If my calculations are correct I need about 38 kilos in total for the model.
